"No one should negotiate their dreams. Dreams must be free to flee and fly high. No government, no legislature, has a right to limit your dreams. You should never agree to surrender your dreams."
—Rev. Jesse Jackson

If you're still uncertain whether you or your organization is eligible, ask us.
We'll work it out together.

December funding session individual application deadlines:

October 1st for new applicants
October 15th for returning applicants

All girls and women on South Whidbey Island are eligible to apply for grant awards.
Nonprofit organizations serving women which have limited access to other funds and can demonstrate the ability to use grants to strengthen organizational structure, stability and services on South Whidbey are eligible to apply.
Awards will be made twice a year. A committee composed of local women will review the applications and make recommendations to the trustee on the applicants thought most appropriate for awards.

You're a woman—a teenager, a young mother, a middle-aged homemaker, a senior citizen or the administrator of a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization that serves the needs of women.
You want to get somewhere in life—attend college for an undergraduate or graduate degree, or obtain trade skills at a vocational institution.
You are an organization that wants to provide programs for women, adolescents or young children to help them reach their potential. You have a goal and you're determined to reach it—but you need help.
You need money for tuition, child care or rent while you pursue your educational or vocational goals; or money for materials, rent, speakers and program administration.
     Maybe Arise can help.
